In line with the MaDAHAL constitution (agreed at the AGM, April 2017) your Association is opening nominations for the 2018-2019 new Association Committee for FOUR weeks, from TBC through until TBC. The constitution provides for 15 committee members, drawn from plot holders and/or social members.
All nominations MUST have a proposer and seconder,
and be signed by the nominee, to be valid.
In the event of more than 15 valid nominations a ballot will be held at the Annual General Meeting on TBC. This enables time for nominees to provide information about themselves and their proposed contribution to the Association Committee. This will be posted in and around the site for all members to see ahead of the AGM ballot.
Once the Association Committee has been elected, and in line with many other committees, the group will meet to elect key roles (Chair, Treasurer, Site Secretary, Pavilion Manager) according to the MaDAHAL management agreement with the City Council. All other Association Committee members will be encouraged to contribute according to interests, abilities and capacity (time available).
At that stage there is also the facility to co-opt additional members on to the Association Committee to provide specific skills/expertise.
Please consider volunteering time to support your Association over the next twelve months, especially as we continue to take on devolved management. We meet on the last Saturday of each month for a couple of hours and then undertake to do what we are able in between meetings.
